Peregrin Tours
Re-Enchant Your Experience of Travel
Immerse Yourself in the Stories of Britain
Our Tolkien tours cover the key locations connected to J.R.R. Tolkien’s time in Oxford (1911-1973). Sites include his homes, colleges he attended/taught at, pubs that he frequented, and important Oxford landmarks associated with his life. The tour will end with a visit to Tolkien and Edith’s grave at Wolvercote Cemetery. Attendees will be provided with key biographical details about Tolkien’s life and legacy, focusing on connections between Oxford and his literary & academic work, as well as opportunities for sharing and reflection. A short pub break at an Inklings pub (The Eagle & Child or The Lamb & Flag) is included for mid-tour refreshments. Extra sites may be added to your itinerary if time allows.
