The syllable BAM ( བཾ ) is the Tibetan seed syllable of the sacred feminine. It is connected with a number of dakinis, or female wisdom beings, and is included in many mantras and visualizations.
This BAM syllable is presented in a stylized pakpa (འཕགས་པ་) script, a Mongolian-derived decorative form of written Tibetan used in temple decorations, personal seals, and amulets. The triangle is representative of the dharmodaya or chöjung, the "source of all phenomena," intimately connected with the womb and bhaga.
